Dark Minded Elements

Dark Minded Elements is in relation to Ravens Ridge Photo. It’s soul purpose is for the darker arts, it’s more geared to the adults and more subject matter. Dark Minded is for those who wish to experience something extremely creative.

Ravens Ridge is more geared towards Editorial/Fashion modeling, weddings, children, and portraits of all sorts. Needless to say, our goal is to insure that both Ravens Ridge and Dark minded Elements, work in the same unit, but as a black and white category.

Dark minded for dark work, and Ravens Ridge for the lighter side of life. Work from both Ravens and Dark is subjected under the same contract and is and will be presented in the reasonable part of the business.

The reasoning for this is because if we mix the work together, creates an unbalance. and for this reason we have decided to create Dark Minded Elements. Thank you all for becoming fans of either or both Ravens Ridge Photo and Dark minded Elements.

Updates

Sorry for the lack of keeping everyone updated.

Here is what has been going on with Ravens Ridge Photo in the last few weeks.

In the last month we have had the enjoyment of working with Roger twice, once for his own artistically nude shoot.  This one was a very interesting shoot, that Cory had the pleasure of shooting. It ranged from being dirty and wet, to being a naked cowboy. Currently Cory is working on a 2010 calender that will be available for purchase.

The second shoot was an even more interesting shoot, this time it involved, the wonderful Lyndsey. This was all of our first time round working with her. What can we say, we LOVED working with her and are stoked to work with her again, on an upcoming project. This shoot consisted of a lot of erotic scenes, which all in all created a lot of steamy images. From then on we had the joys of working with Pamela Mars in Toronto. This was our first shoot with Pamela and we have to say she knows how to bend!! We enjoyed her company and having her help us with some areas about TIFF, (you will see below)

After the photoshoot with Pamela we could not give up the opportunity to go to Toronto’s International Film Festival. While hanging around downtown Toronto, we got to hang out at Yonge-Dundas  Square and see the flock of people roaming around.

After hanging around there for awhile, we decided to go and check out some films. (Well maybe to see some actors) What do you know….we did!!!

As the crowd grew bigger and they put the fencing up. (You know to keep some crazed fans away, which there where a few who were escorted)

We finally got to see some more celebrities.

Here is Melanie Lynskey you may remember her from the hit TV shot Two and a Half Men (she is Rose, Charlies stalker) SHE ROCKS!!!

Then we saw Matt Damon. Whom I would like to say was late for his own premier and wouldn’t even come out to see his fans. Just bolted inside with his wife.  Lucky enough we got a few alright shot. We do not want to be paparazzi……but here ya go.

WOW, Nina and John!

Lastnight, we had the chance to finally work with Nina and her friend John. Nina you are AWESOME! We had such a blast working with you guys. So fun and laid back, this experience is very unique. From goth to killing, back to goth, then to cemetery, to  lollipops.

John who came in with a full set of hair, left with a Mohawk. Yes you heard me, he had said if got his hands on a buzzer he would make a Mohawk. What does Cory do? Show’s him his buzzer.

At the end of the night with some hair on the floor and some fake blood tired from laughing and shooting and having a blast. John it was great working with you.  Photos will be posted soon!

A Week Ago Update

Well last weekend we had the joy of shooting with the 2 most cutest kids. So fun and loving and full of smiles!

She was always there helping him along the way.

On the same day Cory had the experience of working with the one and only Roger again. He has shot with Roger twice before, but this time was a little different. This time was an artistic nude shoot. This is Cory’s first time shooting with a nude male model and Cory did a fabulous job.

The lighting was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, great locations. All in all a great shoot. Here here to Cory and Roger.

Special Edition-Ninja

Tom and his new Special Edition Kawasaki Ninja

Wednesday was a beautiful sunny day, white fluffy clouds, blue skies perfect for Tom’s Photo Shoot of his Special Edition Kawaasaki Ninja. We tell Tom to go drive up over the hill and come back down, what dis we hear, the reve of his motorcycle, as he drives off. You can’t see him but you can hear him. While enjoy the motorcycle, and the hot sun. We also got to enjoy the time with our good friend and amazing model Devon Jay aka Devoo! Thank you Tom for letting us shoot your motorcycle. We had a blast! You were amazing!!

The Wonderful Robynne

This is the start of Ravens Ridge Photo Blog! Enjoy every minute!

Today was a fun filled day of creative fashion shooting. After knowing Miss Robynne for so many years, we finally got the chance to work with her. What amazing time it was. Today started off with dark clouds, then down pour of rain. Got to love having the power to go off here and there. While shooting the sun came out for alittle action, just enough time to do some shots outside. Even though it was hot and muggy, Robynne worked great and enjoyed every moment.

So many fun expressions and bending like a pretzel. So many serious spiders! You will find out soon enough!
